Baptizes (Immerses) the Believer into the Body of Christ—the Church

1 Corinthians 12:12, 13, 27

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or freeand have all been made to drink into one Spirit. . . . Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. (cf. Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 2:11-22; Colossians 3:11)

Ephesians 1:22, 23

And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 5:29, 30

For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the ChurchFor we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. (cf. Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 6:15; 12:12, 27)

Colossians 1:18, 24; 3:11

And He is the head of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence . . . I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the Church . . . where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

John 14:16, 17

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

2 Corinthians 6:16

And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

1 John 2:27

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things [see John 14:26; 16:13, 14], and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

These things we also speak, not in words which mans wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (cf. 2 Corinthians 3:12-18)

1 John 2:20, 27

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. . . .  But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
